BSR: Workplace Safety during Winter Service
And that’s when climate change hit…
Video Production
Process
Brief
BSR, Unfallkasse Berlin, and FES approached us to create a 20-minute safety training video for employees working in winter service.
The goal: to convey the most important topics in a way that was both informative and engaging.
But then… climate change got in the way.
Solution
The video was produced over a three-year period in Berlin, Frankfurt, and the Harz Mountains – whenever and wherever snow happened to fall.
Challenging production conditions were balanced out by a tight, engaging narrative:
fast-paced storytelling, well-placed humor, and authentic improvisation by real employees kept the content fresh, entertaining, and true to life.
Result
This mockumentary-style “found footage” format tells the story from the perspective of a dead man, delivering its message at breakneck speed through iconic references to TV and film history – from Stromberg and Citizen Kane to The Shining.
The result? Workplace safety that actually entertains – a welcome change for an audience weary of conventional training films.
The video is part of a series of creative projects developed for BSR.
